Easton’s Group Will Donate $1,000 to Ryerson University for Every Unit Sold at Dundas Square Gardens
With Dundas Square Gardens soon to be built in Toronto’s downtown core, The Easton’s Group is already showing support for its future neighbours.
Steve Gupta, Chairman and CEO of The Easton’s Group, is dedicated to improving the development’s surrounding community in addition to refining the residential building itself.
For this reason, the well-known developer will donate $1,000 to Ryerson University for every suite sold at Dundas Square Gardens. Gupta will also personally contribute to ensure the donation reaches $1 million.
Gupta says he’s always been a big supporter of education and the difference it can create in one’s life, a passion that stems from his earlier years when he immigrated to Canada from India with only $108 in his pocket.
In providing the donation, Gupta hopes more bursaries will be handed out to students to help them complete their education and ultimately benefit their career long term.
The new master-planned community will be centrally located at the corner of Dundas and Jarvis streets, which is just a few blocks from Ryerson University. The university’s 500-seat lecture theatre on the first floor of the Ryerson Ted Rogers School of Management Building will also be named the “Steve and Rashmi Gupta Lecture Theatre” in honour of the donation.
The new condo community will be the ideal location for students who are looking to live close to campus. Designed by Page + Steele IBI Group Architects, the project will house both a 47-storey tower and a connected 17-storey building.
The main standout feature of the development is the abundance of green space housed within the project, which far exceeds the amount found in most other Toronto condos. Residents can look forward to over 16,000 square feet of rooftop garden terraces, all in varying sizes.
Prices for available suites start at $199,900.
