Architectural Team Behind Dundas Square Gardens Seeks Inspiration from Future Residents

Suite at Dundas Square Gardens

When designing Dundas Square Gardens in Toronto’s downtown core, Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects turned to future residents for inspiration.

The award-winning firm, together with Easton’s Group of Hotels, conducted research to discover the type of individual most likely to purchase a suite within the new development.

“We incorporate that demographic and their lifestyle and how they actually live into our suite layouts,” said Mansoor Kazerouni of Page + Steele.

With this in mind, the team opted to maximize the efficiency of each space by strategically placing every single element within each suite. Take the condo’s 575-square-foot two bedroom plus media layout, for example. The kitchen will be perfectly positioned, as will smaller features such as the closets, to offer a smoother and more convenient lifestyle.

The thoughtfully-designed layouts will also be equipped with top-quality features and finishes, including quartz kitchen counters, stainless steel appliances, porcelain bathroom floors and custom-designed vanities.

There’s plenty more to get excited about too, like the development’s distinct on-site amenities, which will include a screening room, outdoor pool, fitness centre and five rooftop garden terraces that total 16,000 square feet.

Located at Dundas and Jarvis streets, the building will be comprised of a 47-storey tower that will connect to a smaller 17-storey boutique tower. Yonge-Dundas Square will be mere blocks away and the picturesque Allan Gardens is just to the north of the development.
